The Idea: Private storage space.
Deep Dive: You would build a platform for people to offer their garage, basement or house as storage for someone. You would have to privately vet each storage holder and review the items in the beginning.
Similar to public storage sites, your users would be able to search for space and book online.
Validation: People already pay for storage and the personal barrier is broken with uber/lyft.
Monetization: You would charge a monthly platform fee on top of the storage fee for customers.
Backstory: I downsized about a year ago into a row house in Baltimore. I put enough items in storage to fill a 10x5 storage unit. I pay nearly $100 per month, I was telling a friend about this over the weekend and he offered $50 a month for the same storage.
