Backstory: I'm in the process of building pages out for this website to provide seo and a place for everyone to comment on the ideas. It's been a while since I've been on themeforest or any of the other theme providers and it seems to be a race to the bottom. A lot of the templates seemed bloated and I even recognized a few from some websites I visit. This got me thinking about a higher end, professional and limited quantity website template marketplace.

The Idea: A high-end website template marketplace.

Deep Dive: You would build a rather generic two sided marketplace. The key with this idea is to limit the minimum price for each template and force a limited quantity sold for each. Designers would sell less but would make the same amount.

You could offer services for the designer to do custom work for a paying customer as well.

Validation: I would buy one of these! Rather than spend time on fiverr or 99designs I'd prefer to "see" before I buy and not deal with the back and forth.

Monetization: You would take a percentage from the sale of the templates sold.
