Backstory: In social media and even the news we are seeing “fake news” everywhere, articles that have no basis of fact.

The Idea: A browser extension that provides verification of truth about social media posts.

Deep Dive: You could crowd source some of the research. You would gather common tweet or Facebook post and  allow users to submit their research. Other users can upvote this data and you would have a validity score.

Validation: Fake news has to stop! I’ve been unfollowing people on Facebook based on how many fake news articles they repost.

Monetization: You could sell ads but I think a better angle would be to partner with actual news sources and have them pay to promote their factual articles.
