Backstory: Whenever I want to share something on social media, I have to copy the article headline or quote, go into buffer, create a post, copy over the url, select the image, etc… it’s not a simple solution.

The Idea: Chrome plugin for social sharing

Deep Dive: You would build a chrome plugin where someone can highlight a line of text, right click and create a social media post without leaving the site. You can prefill a lot of information such as website url, image and eventually suggest some hashtags.

Validation: Buffer and hoot suite already made it easy to post anywhere on social media channels, this is taking it to the next level.

Monetization: You would charge per social media account integrated. This supports a freemium model where you can offer a small amount of integrations for free while charging more for larger companies and agencies.
